artist's collective

soooo…when people tell me they visited this blog, the first thing they say is that they were confused. i tell them to go here to check us out and see what we’re all about, but seeing as to how this is a blog, and not yet a legit website (soon to come, though), there is no mission statement anywhere to let you guys know exactly what it is we’re doing.

basically, this is an artist’s collective supported by a clothing line. The profits from the clothes will go towards putting shows together (art/music), publishing literature magazines, funding film production, etc.

so a lot of the work that we have been doing has been just building our family, and we have a collection of some super talented kids, and we are so excited to continue to grow.

until we launch our website, which will have mini portfolios for every contributor, here is a list of members of The Passé Empire, categorized by medium. obviously some artists cross the medium borders, i mean, the reason i began this whole idea was due to my interest in all the arts as opposed to a single area of focus, so we dig artists who break those boundaries.

illustration/design: matt guerrero, joe ball, taylor higgenbotham, cameron wilson(yours truly)

photography: hana lee, joe ball, jake mendales

music: thomas barret, big girls, numskul, cameron matthew rutger

film: tyler phillips, taylor higginbotham, joe ball, cameron wilson

literature: nicholas howe, cameron wilson

cloth goods: cameron wilson, james campbell, nicholas howe, jake mendales

so that is the passé family as of now, and there are definitely a few names i left off the list due to the fact that we are still in the very early stages of communication with most of them. we are so incredibly excited to get all these people working together; for each other, with each other, on top of each other, whateva. if you feel like you could contribute to what we’re doing here, email us and we’d love to take a look at your stuff.

thanks babes.
