now that the line is out, you would think that our workload would greatly decrease as we just sit back and count money…this is not the case AT ALL. we’ve been doing some really cool work with the line, namely spending hours and hours attaching numbered tags on the clothes BY HAND! that was not very sick but it was cool to see the idea of hand numbering the items materialize. so now if you buy a shirt or sweatshirt, you have a little piece of passé history in that little handwritten tag. i suppose pictures of that process would not be very interesting, but feck it, here are a few from the evening.

our boy sharif tartir (sweatshirt) is currently in the slammer. at least we are pretty sure he is. we haven’t heard from him but the cops were here lookin for him and all signs point to his incarceration. we love you reef jeez, best of luck.

after many hours of burning our thumbs and poking our index fingers with safety pins, all the shit was tagged and lookin sick. so it was on to the next order of business. super cool photoshoot for a “lookbook” catalogue for the fall line. here are some samples. hana lee photography.

this last photo is a good transition to the next thing i wanna share today, new artists. a couple that we are reeeeeaaaallly excited about. this guy in the photoshoot is eli pechman, a noise artist who goes to school here at ucsd. his shit is incredible. he was explaining a bunch of his hardware to me and what exactly it even means to be a noise artist, as i am completely unfamiliar with the scene. he’s a cool dude though and helped us out last night by carrying around his barbie box which blared gypsy tunes. definitely helped set a mood for the shoot. so he’s gonna give me some links to some videos of his performance and stuff that i will not hesitate to throw up here. be on the lookout for that.
another artist that we are going to hopefully start doing some work with is joe ball from boston. i haven’t met him personally but he’s a good friend of jake’s and he does absolutely amazing work. photography and film stuff mostly. he’s going to school in GA, so it will be hard to do any direct collaboration, but he’s into graphic design, so we’ll probably feature him in a line with some tees or something. here’s a sample of some of his stuff that got me extra super horny.

so thats just a quick look at some of the stuff that he does. but im way excited and i believe he is too so that means good things are soon to come.
i apologize for the length of these blogs, they are a lot to handle, but its not like you have anything better to do…
love always and forever, cam!
